when i saw this on postsecret my heart dropped. i was hit with this strange and raw insecurity, thinking that it must be from someone in my life who is sick of hearing about africa. in fact i even saved the picture and flipped it so that i could get a better look at the handwriting (backwards it looked familiar).
on another note, i can completely relate to this one:

Ya know what Ang? A coward is someone who can't take responsibility for their own actions, meaning someone who doesn't leave their name when giving their opinion. If that letter is real and that person was your real friend or even a real jerk they could have at least man-ed up to writing it. You know what I would do? Use it for toilet paper. Seriously, that's what I think about cowardly people. (i think the official synonym for coward is weiner)
ReplyDeleteYou know what I think about you? I think you are one of the coolest people I know and I love that you dream big and live big. You never settle for mediocre. You encourage laughter in your friends and challenge those around you to dream big dreams to. You believe in a big God. And I know, that you have helped me in my life, to believe that dreams can come true. If you settled for mediocre you would take this letter as reality but since you're not, you'll take this letter, laugh and then do something fun~ like use it for toilet paper. (unless it's super scratchy and then just laugh about it and burn it)

ang i agree with jo- seriously you have pressed through on this africa trip- you could have totally given up and thought it was pointless but your heart is for these people- i think that is something to talk about- your heart is for people who don't know Jesus- why would someone get sick of you talking about that? you got me?! keep your head up- not because you are confident in yourself but because the Lord has lead you and directed you to AFRICA!
